Oživte si barák
Česká Ádvojka upozorňuje na chátrajúce historické domy v centre Prahy.
Na fasády piatich vybraných budov v dezolátnom stave boli premietané videoinštalácie. Cieľom bolo “oživit debatu o příčinách jejich havarijního stavu i o možných řešeních”.

Nacionalizmus a verejný priestor
Minulý víkend sme strávili v Žiline na Stanici Záriečie festivalom Jeden svet. Z košatého sobotňajšieho programu sme si vybrali dva kúsky: Tomáša Rafu a Zuzanu Piussi. Oba o nacionalizme, oba snažiace sa (podľa autorov) o objektívnu dokumentaristiku.

The Luchtsingel - an elevated pedestrian bridge
What about an elevated pedestrian bridge funded by common people? Sounds unbelievable? Not in Rotterdam.
Plank by plank, the people of Rotterdam are building a bridge that will give pedestrians safe passage over a tangle of highways and connect two parts of the city that have been separated by cars for years, in the hopes of revitalizing both.
The area around Hofplein in the centre of Rotterdam was once a bustling district but is now dominated by speeding traffic. To give pedestrians more space again, I Make Rotterdam is building a temporary pedestrian bridge here in a project entitled I Make Rotterdam. This will reconnect the city centre with the northern districts. Called Luchtsingel (Dutch for ‘raised promenade’), the bridge will be largely completed by April 2012 and is just the first step in the plan to make Hofplein a lively pedestrian area once more.
